NewSpring Store offers several services and programs that benefit our    community.

 

• Clothing the Children

  • A program designed to provide assistance to children at risk specifically those at risk of homelessness and/or suffering due to a life altering event: such as housing displacement, house fire, guardianship, domestic violence, or other hardship circumstances.

  • NewSpring provides free clothing and shoes for these children, as well provide household goods when a single parent is reestablishing a home for the children.

  • We work with CMCSS to provide help with the families who are registered as homeless within their system by providing clothes and shoes for their students and in some cases household goods. We strive to make sure there are no students going to school without proper well-fitting clothes and shoes. NewSpring provides hygiene items; such as deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner; when needed.

  • Foster parents many times receive children to care for with only the clothes on their backs, so we provide them with the needed clothing and shoes.

  • NewSpring assists Youth Villages by providing clothing for young adults transitioning out of the foster system and who are looking to become self-reliant but in need of appropriate clothing for job interviews.

 

 

It is our belief that being a child and having to go to school is hard enough, add in homelessness or other hardships on top of this and leads to mountains of stress on a child's heart. NewSpring wants all children to feel good about themselves in spite of their circumstances. Proper fitting clothes and shoes makes a significant impact to acheive this goal, which is why we work with our partners in DCS, CMCSS, Youth Villages, and Mana Cafe.

 

• Dress for Success

  • A program designed for young adults and adults graduating from high school and college. These students many times do not have the means to be able to dress properly for job interviews. Dress for Success aids them to do so! NewSpring offers a brief demonstration on what it means to dress for success and what the rewarding benefits are for doing so. The demonstration provides many different options of ways to dress for success. We encourage showing Integrity and Respect through ones choice of appearance and dress. A rewarding part of this program when the participants are allowed to pick out outfits for themselves for free and leave feeling confident about the future.

  • This program is facilitated by 2 or more people setting up demonstration outfits, dispensing informational material, and obtaining participant size ranges to ensure availability in store.

• Other Services

  • NewSpring provides vouchers to our local partners to aid those individuals and families struggling through hardships or needing assistance.

  • We have people come in on their own seeking help for their children or loved ones in need. We fill out vouchers for these individuals and allow them clothes, coats, and shoes. There are some cases in which household items are required

  • Furniture is also made available to any of these organizations who are seeking to aid in reestablishing those people in a home facing extreme hardship.
